Things I am Thankful for!

1. The career I have selected and the community that has selected me, professionally.
2. The wife that I managed to snag young, before she knew any better.
3. The technologies that make living in a town of 80,000 feel less isolating.
4. The 11,000 comic books that I hope to someday read.
5. Black Friday sales at local shops tomorrow. Think crassly capitalist, shop locally!
6. A strong sense of irony to enjoy this:

What about you?

...I imagine this reflects the feeling. Josh, you regularly bring a solitary, happy tear to my eye.

I like your number one, Dave.

This past NCA experience was more than I thought it ever could be from a community standpoint. I'm glad to have chosen rhetorical studies, and thrilled that I can call so many of my colleagues friends.

To it I'll add my gratitude for my five best friends, of whom you are one; my family, who is whole and unwavering; my fortune (home; job security); knowing there are others in this world who share my values (not reflected in the relentless Repube debates) . . . and I could go on and on.

But all this gratitude needs a beer. For that, too, I am grateful!
