Daniel Colegate of The Graduate Junction sent us a note about some changes and upgrades they've made to their site. This looks like a good resource for scholars seeking out people who share research interests.

From Daniel:

We've upgraded the look and feel of the site and now have more than 13,000 researchers participating in the network. Some of the added features and resources include:

* The option to create an open access academic homepage
* The ability to add and share information about conferences you are
interest in or planning on attending with the community.
* Tell the whole community about research experiences and/or day-to-day
activities with mini research blogs.
* Partnerships with academic resources such as Writing Across Boundaries.

We have also just launched our online research poster competition which is aimed to encourage researchers to practice key skills such as clear,
concise presentation of their ideas and findings as well as communication
of their research to a non subject specific audience, in addition to
winning prizes. You can find out more at http://www.graduatejunction.org/posters

I'd be really grateful if you could take another look and let me know what you think. If you feel it appropriate we would be very grateful if you would consider mentioning Graduate Junction again on your blog, in
particular the launch of the poster competition. Participation is the key to promoting communication amongst early career researchers which is our ultimate aim.

We are also developing links between the Graduate Junction community,
industry and social enterprise which is really exciting and we believe
will lead to valuable opportunities for early career researchers to
showcase their abilities. Would it be okay if I contacted you again to
keep you updated about these developments?
